Newsprint Card

I've had this paper for a while and not done anything with it so today I decided to have a go and see what happened!  This is the result - I hope you like it.

I put the Newsprint DSP through the Cuttlebug using an embossing folder and then used the brayer to cover it with Pear Pizzazz ink.  This is something I haven't tried before but it seemed to work - you can see the outline from the embossing through the print of the paper.  I also inked the edges of the paper in Poppy Parade - both on the DSP and the punched scalloped oval for the sentiment.

The flower on the tag is made from the same Newsprint DSP - using both sides of the paper for maximum effect.  The paper was cut out with a scallop circle punch, spritzed, scrunched and then secured with a brad to hold the 3 layers together.
