Fancy Flower Card

This quick and easy card is inspired by Lindsey.  I love the simplicity of using the Fancy Flower Punch and a piece of  Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack (Brights) behind.

Don't forget that Sale-a-Bration finishes on 31 March and the beautiful stamp sets and papers will disappear for good so if you want them, then contact me and place an order for £45 plus P&P.

If you'd like to join the next card class, then book your place here!  The next class is on Saturday, 14 April at 10 am.

Happy Birthday with Flowers

I have quite a few birthday cards to make in January and this is the next one, Richard's mum.

I decided to use a new stamp which I bought a while ago but haven't used yet.

The background paper is from last year's catalogue so now sadly retired.  The stamp set is Posy Punch which has been stamped in Wisteria Wonder to match the base card.  The centre of the flowers have been stamped with Concord Crush and finished off with a pearl.  I've used the fancy flower punch and 1/2" circle punch to give a more professional look to the stamped images - I find punches so much easier to use than scissors and use them wherever possible!

I've entered this card into the following challenges:

Crazy4Challenges - New Toys - C4C118
Papers Sundaes Challenge - #102 Saturated Colours

Fancy a Punch?

I thought this had already been posted but following the problems with Blogger last week, it seems to have disappeared!

Fancy a punch isn't quite as bad as it sounds!  It's the latest challenge on Papertake Weekly and so I decided to have a go and see what I could come up with.

I started off with Newsprint DSP and the Fancy Flower Punch.  Two flowers have been layered, inked around the edges with Poppy Parade and then a matching button from my stash added to finish it off.  The leaves are from the Two Step Bird Punch and the butterfly is yet another Stampin' Up! punch.

The scalloped edge is Poppy Parade cardstock and the Scallop Trim Punch and finally the sentiment is from the Four Frames Stamp Set and the matching Decorative Label Punch.

Fingers crossed this time!
