Sneak peek

This is a sneek peak at one of the cards we'll be making at the next class on Saturday 29 October.

We'll be using the Big Shot with the Top Note die as well as the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder to give it some texture.  The beautiful flower is made from layers of petals using the Build a Blossom stamp set and the matching punch.

Come and join us on Saturday 29 October to make this and several other cards using the Build  a Blossom stamp set.  Message me to book your place

Happy 21st Birthday

Today is Imogen's 21st - I can't believe she is 21!  It doesn't seem long since she was a babe in arms ...

The background paper I've used is from a Christmas special last year but it has such a lovely velvety feel that it brings a touch of luxury to the card.  As you can see, I've used the Top Note die and also the square lattice embossing folder to give some texture and also embed the "21".

Hope you have a lovely day Imogen

Spots and Dots

This weeks challenge on Stamping for the Weekend is spots and dots.  I just had to look at the Brights Designer Stack and all the papers which are just perfect for this challenge.  I also consulted the Colour Coach which came up with an interesting combination of Pacific Point, Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie.  This definitely isn't a combination I would have chosen but I'm pleased with the results.

I've used the Top Note Die to create the basic shape and then added flowers using the Vintage Vogue stamp set.  I've also used the spotted label from the Four Frames Stamp Set and the Decorative Label Punch.  The little flowers were made using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch pack.  Then a few pearls to add more dots ...

Springtime Vintage and Top Note

I've just had a delivery from Stampin' Up! and finally got the Top Note die which has been on my wishlist for a while!

I've used the Springtime Vintage DSP from the Mini Catalogue and some matching seam binding ribbon to make this card.  The papers are double-sided so I've used both sides of the same sheet which co-ordinate beautifully.

The Top Note die is perfect for A6 cards and I can see me using it regularly.
